47105 getting a repaint
After Moving to Toddington, 105 ran in its BR Blue livery with the painted name "Goldcrest" which had been applied at Tinsley. A ballot was taken of the BT4F members of which the outcome was that the loco was to receive a new coat of Blue and have glass black headcode panels refitted.
Work started with removal of the headlights and radio aerials, 105 was then sanded down to bare metal before entering the paint shop at Winchcombe for application of the new livery.
In 2001 a ballot of BT4F members was taken and once again Rail Blue with glass black headcodes was the winner. Therefore the 4 digit headcode panel on No.1 end was removed and the loco was restored to her 1970s livery.
